After a career that included being a magazine publisher, an art director and an in-house commercial photographer for an ad agency, Niles started his biggest project ever: creating portraits of 430 of Texas' most famous musicians. Niles has now published four different magazines and spends much of his time shooting weddings in Western New York.

| Niles has found that the best way to make his subjects comfortable is to give them confidence. "First, I prove who I am," he says. "I used to own a magazine with many portraits in it and once people see my work then a rapport is established. I think it's important to prove my professionalism first." |
